Recreating and making reels for the vintage View-Master has been such an enjoyable process for me. There’s something incredibly nostalgic about the art of it—capturing moments in a way that feels both timeless and immersive. Holding a View-Master up to my eyes and seeing the stereoscopic effect come to life never gets old; it’s like stepping into a tiny, personal world frozen in time. I love taking my Fuji Real 3D camera on road trips to the desert, special sites, and different cities, capturing unique landscapes and moments that I can later turn into a reel.
The View-Master itself has a fascinating history—it was originally introduced in 1939 as a way to view scenic images in 3D and later became a beloved childhood toy featuring everything from national parks to pop culture scenes. Being able to create my own reels, filled with personal memories and places I’ve explored, makes the experience even more special.
